This work was required
to complete backlog maintenance to a Grade II Listed building.The building is open to the
public and the design and erection of the scaffolding was paramount
to the success of the scheme.
Particular consideration was given to Lord and Lady Harrowby who
were in residence at the
time.
Large pieces of masonry required
removal and transporting back to the workshop to ensure replacements
were identical.
The work on ‘live’ chimneys
required careful liaison with the management of the building to
ensure safe working practices with no disruption to the working life
of the establishment during winter
months.
